Initial Start Late June
Because of low temperatures, which effect the adhesive drying correctly below 10 Celcius, we stopped the installation at this point and rescheduled a restart at the end of the Winter. The builder carried on installing the fence and working on the upper deck.
Lower Deck Late October
By the end of October the temperatures had risen above 10C for extended periods of the day.
After 4 months the adhesive primer was just starting to wear off, but it had served it’s purpose over the Winter in keeping the water out of the plywood. A quick sand over and a clean and work continued on from where we left off in June.
The only issue in October is the Spring Winds, and sure enough on a couple of days work was called off due to high winds.
