Two “Blocks”.

C (Yellow) Block
one of two blocks of classrooms. We called this the Yellow block, the colour of the weatherboards original leaking metal roof is removed, new plywood over sarking under metal roof some Malthoid roof debris remains, had to be scraped off view across roof to west, metal removed, sarking exposed new plywood is fixed over sarking, and bitumen primed further down the roof, plastic cover laid for overnight rain view across the roof east to west, underlay has been installed half way, some plywood sealed with No10 adhesive and the rest temporary covered reverse view of previous images area primed with No.10 adhesive is surface wet, but easily dried later that day, we have caught up with the underlay to the plywood installers again a plastic cover over uncompleted plywood for overnight rain we continued with the underlay to the end of the day end and around corner covered with plastic overnight No.10 adhesive to plywood still waiting for screws to be fitted almost there underlay through to the end of the roof around corner still waiting for good weather drip edge is fitted to edge recess in plywood underlay folded back to install drip edge meanwhile the inside Cap sheet upstands are fitted, enabling window replacement to proceed reverse installation of upstands makes laying the horizontal Cap sheet difficult more rain holds up play further down the roof, end of cap sheet work for now around corner has finally been ply'd out and underlay installed there reverse view of previous images during rained off period, shiney surface is underlay, dark area is Cap sheet helper holds up the upstand flap while I clean the selvedge of mineral chip working on the upstand weld down rain has stopped and work continues with the cap sheet install under the upstand flaps scaffolding has been taken down, so restricted area 2 metres from edge, harness required rollering a lap outside the restricted area, in harness everyone else has to stay inside the tape roof is almost done, looking back to the east looking west, some upstand flaps still to weld down closer view of previous image east end of roof, new wall counterflashing just about there, view to west, weatherboards have been painted closer view of window sill flashing and upstands just about there view to east final clean up, and done around corner just needs weatherboards painted
B (Blue) Block
this is Blue block, underlay has been installed over the whole roof, looking west reverse view of previous image close up of upstand under existing windows about half way with the cap sheet underlay folded back for drip edge installation old windows being removed again as in Yellow block we were asked to install the upstands before the horizontal cap sheet view over the Blue block, turndowns yet to be torched and folded down new windows, sill flashings in, loose upstand falp to be welded to horizontal upstand flaps at east end of roof welded down view along roof to east view along roof to east, our work finished here
