Scie Construction Ltd (pronounced sky) is a New Zealand owned and operated company, specializing in the Supply and Application of Modified Bitumen/Asphalt, Rubber, PVC and TPO membranes for flat roofing, decks, and basement / terrace tanking.
Our office is located at Waikanae, 58km north of Wellington, the Capital of New Zealand.
The Directors of Scie have been involved in the construction and waterproofing industries since 1970, and have a comprehensive background in, and knowledge of, the Mastic Asphalt, Bitumen Built-Up Roofing, Torchon Roofing, Single Ply Roofing and Tanking Trades. Many years experience working in Canada, the UK and New Zealand in these waterproofing trades enables us to provide practical waterproofing solutions for our clients; from assistance with roof design, product selection, specifications, and application for new projects, to the investigation of problem membrane roofs, re-roofing, maintenance and repair of existing roofs.
We can also supply and fix plywood sheeting for roof and deck substrates, polystyrene protective/insulation sheeting for tanking, concrete patching products and decorative and protective coatings in relation to roofing and tanking situations.
Scie have a comprehensive on site Health and Safety program to comply with the requirements of the current NZ Health And Safety In Employment Act and our staff are “SiteSafe” certified
Scie Construction Ltd are approved applicators of Hitchins, Ardex, Jaydex, Nuralite, Sealco and Viking Roofing membranes and Dec-K-ing Deck membranes in the Wellington Area
Scie Construction Ltd. have in place $5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance covering our “legal liability” for damage to third party property arising out of our contracting activities. Additional insurance, such as insuring the works for “Contractors All Risks”, and extensions to cover as may be required under terms of contract or as deemed prudent to the particular contract, can be arranged.
